Meditation

Meditation can be a great practice that can help us to find internal peace. One should always take some time to stop all activity and make silence.

Although we always see as representation of the practice of meditation a person in lotus position with eyes closed, this is not necessary the only way that we can practice it.

The first part is making silence. It does not mean that you should seat somewhere whit the eyes and mouth closed, while inside your head a lot of voices are still talking. Make silence is stop talking inside and outside of your mind.

We should start by observing all our thoughts and feelings like some kind of spectator. When we watch a really interesting movie, we don’t have time to start talking about the lunch time or the things that happened at work, we just sit and watch the movie because we don’t want to miss any detail of the tale, also we don’t move our thoughts to things unrelated with the movie, because we will end up losing the thread anyway.

In a similar way, replicating the attitude we have when we watch those interesting thrillers, we should just sit and observe what is happening inside us. The goal of this practice is to find if we have positive or negative thoughts.

All the thoughts we have, since we are always thinking on those things, in time they become part of the subconscious, if we don’t discard as soon as we can the negative thoughts, they will get registered in our subconscious affecting our lives bringing us terrible difficulties and situations.
