The Bible and the Metaphysics
| The texts of the Bible can be interpreted through the instruction of Metaphysics, this is a technique known as the Pésher Technique. |
This technique can be applied also to interpret the teachings that Jesus has left. Saint Paul said that making a literal interpretation of the Bible is like reading death letters.
The most of the narrations of the Bible that seem to be historical, in fact they are symbolic, the literal meaning of these writings is valid, but the symbolic one is superior. WE can receive many different teachings if we read carefully the texts of the Bible, but understanding the real meaning.
Each parabola narrated by Jesus, has been told with the same technique. The word Bible has its origins on the Greek term “Biblion”, and it means “collection of little books”. A list of interesting teachings can be extracted from the narrations on the Old Testament.
One of these can be found on the history of Cain and Abel. This is, as everyone should know by now, the history of two brothers that didn’t really have a good relationship, and it tragically ends with the death of one of them accomplished by the other.
Which is the meaning that can be found inside this story? Cain, who used to work with the land by plowing it, represents all our attachments to the material possessions. Abel on the other hand, which is a shepherd, represents to the spiritual guide. The moment that Cain kills Abel is the representation of our spiritual side being killed by our material attachments, like work issues, money issues and others. We must work to help our spiritual side to prevail always above everything else.
